Country singer Gary Allan makes vintage choices: '50s guitar tones; rhythms from dusty honky tonks, cracked country ballads and lyrics unafraid to deal with true life. Allan made his debut to US country music with "Her Man", the lead-off single on his gold-certified debut album Used Heart for Sale.
His second album It Would Be You preceded Allan's third album, Smoke Rings in the Dark which was the first platinum album of his career. Alright Guy and See If I Care were also both certified platinum. Tough All Over and Greatest Hits were both certified gold. His seventh studio album was Living Hard.
Overall, Allan's seven studio albums and Greatest Hits package have produced twenty-one singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts, including three that ranked number one: "Man to Man," "Tough Little Boys" and "Nothing On But The Radio".
