Despite their slow start, Los Angeles group Ambrosia has persevered through the years as a fan favorite. Their smooth style expertly blends symphonic art rock with a more mainstream pop sound. The band was discovered as a quartet in 1971 by the LA Philharmonic conductor, who loved them so much that they were featured on an "American Dream Concert". Another four years passed before they signed their first record contract a move that would show them the door to fame.
The band's biggest pop breakthrough happened in 1978 with the number three hit "How Much I Feel", although it wouldn't be the only time they charted. Hit after hit followed clear through the 1980s, until David Pack broke off from the band to pursue a solo career. The band is back together with some lineup changes now, and ready to rock just as they did through the generations.
