The L.A.-based band broke onto the national scene in 1999 with their self-titled debut album, produced by Terry Date and Sex Pistol Steve Jones, for DreamWorks Records. They scored with such hit Modern Rock singles as “Lit Up,” “Check Your Head” and “For The Movies.”

IN 2001 Buckcherry released their second album, Time Bomb. Largely unnoticed by critics, but opening for heroes AC/DC brought the band some prominence. In July 2002, founding member Joshua Todd unexpectedly left Buckcherry, which led to the band taking a hiatus.

They regrouped in 2005 with original members Todd and Nelson recruiting new members Xavier Muriel and guitarist Steven Dacanay. With this lineup the album Fifteen was released in 2006.
