Frontman Issac Brock is a strange and crazy one, making more headlines than the band themselves, but that doesn’t take away from their seminal indie rock standing. Formed in 1993 in Issaquah, Washington, Modest Mouse gained a reddit obsessed cult following with their metaphor and alliteration filled This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About, The Lonesome Crowded West and their first Epic Records release The Moon & Antarctica. Breakthrough album Good News For People Who Love Bad News, gave hit "Float On" selling over 1.5 million copies and earned the band two Grammy noms. Since then, they have seen a rotating cast of members, namely The Smith’s Johnny Marr and Tim Peloso. Eight years later longtime member Eric Judy leaves and we see part one of Strangers to Ourselves. While we wait for part two, we'll be doin’ the cockroach in the desert at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas on Saturday, June 3.
