The Shins Tickets
6+. Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Shins are an ever-evolving band from Albuquerque, New Mexico. The indie rock band earned it's fanbase as a side project to Flake Music, who were active from 1992 to 1999. They released two singles and a full-length album on the record label Omnibus Records, and followed up their first release with a tour accompanied by Modest Mouse. Their first two standalone records (not being a part of Flake Music) were both critically and commercially acclaimed, and the single "New Slang" from the same time period brought the band mainstream attention when it was used in the 2004 film Garden State.
The Shins went on a five year hiatus following the departure of lead singer, guitar player, and songwriter James Mercer in 2007. They released a 2012 album, Port of Morrow, and most recently released their fifth studio album, Heartworms, on March 10th, 2017.
