A fresh rapper with roots in Carol City, Florida, Denzel Curry is a true hip hop phenomenon. Beginning with poetry, Denzel soon found that he liked to add movement and fluidity with his words and began to study the art of rap. He soon found that his passion took hold in all other aspects of life, and inspired him to move forward despite obstacles in his personal life. 

He released his first mixtape in 2011, and posted it on SpaceGhostPurrp's page, which quickly birthed his professional career. After the success of his first mixtape, Denzel became a member of SpaceGhostPurrp's hip hop group, Raider Klan. Under the umbrella of his group, Denzel released two more mixtapes, one of which was inspired by the shooting of a classmate of his, Trayvon Martin. However, in 2013, Denzel left the Raider Klan and became a solo artist. Since then, he has released numerous studio albums and mixtapes, and launched a full cross-country tour.
